1. This is my first time registering through the new CivicRec platform- where can I find step-by-step instructions?

2. How are teams formed and how is the league facilitated?

Teams are formed by age division and booster club/elementary school district.  

3. What are the age divisions?

Instructional Coed- 6U (5 and 6-years of age) 

Mini Coed- 8U (7- and 8-years of age) 

Pee Wee Boys/ Pee Wee Girls- 10U (9- and 10-years of age) 

 Little Boys/Little Girls- 12U (11- and 12-years of age) 

Junior Boys- 14U (13- and 14-years of age)  

Senior Boys- 18U (15–18-years of age, 18-year olds must be enrolled into school) 

4. How long are practices held?

Practices will be 60 minutes per session. 

5. How many practices are there per week?

There will be a maximum of three activities per week. Each team will be scheduled for two practices per week prior to the start of season. Teams will be provided one practice per week when games begin. This is subject to change based on the number of teams and available gym space. 

6. How will practices be facilitated this year?

Depending on the number of teams and gym availability, many teams will have to share a court and practice using half the court. Our goal once games begin is to allow every team one practice and allow for more teams to practice using a full court. This is subject to change based on the number of teams and gym availability. 

7. Where will practices be held?

Colonial Elementary, Cloverdale Elementary, Buchanan Elementary, Breckenridge Elementary, Greenfield and Troutville Elementary. 

8. Will teams be allowed to scrimmage during practices since there are two teams per court?

The Parks & Recreation department will work to schedule teams from the same age groups to share a court. If coaches agree to scrimmage, scrimmages will be allowed during practice. 

9. Will parents and spectators be allowed in facilities during practices and games?

Yes, parents and spectators will be permitted in facilities during practices and games. 

10. Where will games be played?

Games will take place at Breckenridge Elementary, Central Academy Middle School, Colonial Elementary School, Greenfield Elementary School, and Read Mountain Middle School. 

11. Can parents leave the premises during practice?

Yes, we ask that if you choose to leave the premises that you return before the end of your child(s) scheduled practice. Parents who are late picking up participants will be subject to disciplinary actions.  

12. Will teams get to choose uniform colors this year?

Due to worldwide manufacturing delays, uniforms have to purchased at the end of early registration to ensure they will arrive in time for games. Each player will receive a reversible jersey and solid color shorts. 

13. What days will games be played this year?

Games will be played on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays. These days are subject to change.

14. Will we be allowed to have food and/or drinks in facilities?

Food and/or drinks will not be allowed in facilities. Participants will be allowed to have a water bottle on the bench during games and at practices.
