If you've driven through Daleville lately you might have noticed a climate change coming with Blizzards expected to become the norm!
The much anticipated Dairy Queen at Daleville Town Center! is taking shape! But did you know that the owners are Botetourt County residents? Khushbu Patel is a wife, mom, daughter, and entrepreneur! Here is Khushbu's story in her own words:
"My name is Khushbu Patel. I live in Botetourt County with my husband Harry and our son Krish along with my parents. We love living in Botetourt County! My journey with DQ started 10 years ago as a shift leader. In 2019 we bought the Dairy Queen in Clifton Forge in neighboring Alleghany County. After moving to Daleville, we found everyone to be so welcoming and friendly and we have decided to make Botetourt County our forever home. While passing by the Daleville Town Center one day an idea continuously came to my mind and I thought it would be great if I could bring a DQ here! This became my DREAM PROJECT. For me, Daleville is the perfect town. This location will be a family-oriented business that will be owned and operated by me and my husband. We want to serve our community and help local schools, churches, law enforcement, sports groups, and small businesses by donating and sponsoring events the same way we do in Clifton Forge. We love giving back and we can't wait to start this new adventure in the place that we call home."
The Daleville Dairy Queen is expected to open in the early fall of this year and economic impacts are forecasted to be above $1.5 million with an expected 60-80 jobs, including managers and shift leads when the restaurant opens. Congratulations Khushbu & Harry! We are so happy that you call Botetourt County home!
