Therapy Dog Reading Session

This provides children between the ages of 5-12 with an opportunity to read any book of their choice in a one-on-one session with a therapy dog. Therapy dogs offer many physical and mental health benefits. A therapy dog can help children become:   

  • More comfortable and confident in the classroom
  • Less stressed
  • More focused

 Registration required. Please call any Botetourt County Library branch to reserve your child’s 15-minute reading session.
